Middle School and High School students may bring these/similar binders into the classroom.
Thank you for helping us improve school culture, as no backpacks are allowed in the classroom. Students may use backpacks, but store them in their lockers.

UPDATED: 6/2/25 Our New Castle family mourns the loss of a beloved Trojan, John Scott Griffith. A 1969 NCHS graduate, Mr. Griffith made New Castle his forever home. He taught in the Corporation for forty-five years as our NCMS Math Teacher, and strengthened #TrojanPride during his role as Athletic Director. As a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest and most prestigious academic honor society in the United States, John complimented our Corporation School Board values, where he faithfully served the past two and a half years. Dedicated to the growth and promotion of New Castle Schools, our students, families, staff, and community members have been positively changed by his extraordinary and generous life. Our honor and condolences go to his family in this difficult time. Thank you, Mr. Griffith, for nurturing young minds, fostering a passion for knowledge, and instilling a lifelong love of learning in every life you touched. You are, and forever will be, part of the great Trojan legacy. John Griffith’s family would like to welcome the New Castle Community to join them for his Visitation this Saturday, June 7, 2025 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Family Life Center (709 S. Memorial Dr. New Castle, IN 47362). The Celebration of Life will immediately follow: Saturday, June 7, 2025, 2:00-3:00 PM.

Congratulations to the Amman family! Lynae Amman has accepted the Wilbur Wright Principal position for the 2025-26 School Year! Lynae has served faithfully at Westwood as our Instructional Coach, and will replace our beloved retiring Principal, Jean Ann McAllister. The Ammans will be a two-principal parenting household!

LADY TROJANS of all ages: Join us for Summer Basketball Camp! Grades are based on your daughter’s grade level Fall of 2025: Grades 1-2 1:00-2:30 PM – Middle School Aux. Gym Grades 3-4 1:00-2:30 PM – Middle School Aux. Gym Grades 5-8 1:30-3:30 PM – Middle School Main Gym Registration begins at 12:30 PM on June 2nd, 30 minutes PRIOR to the start time of EACH SESSION. The New Castle Henry County Public Library is having a READING CONTEST! 6th -12th grade students who complete up to 800 minutes of reading will receive a certificate for a Pizza Hut Personal Pan Pizza, and be entered for the Grand Prizes. READ, Trojans, READ! Head to the Library today!

The Annual Senior Recognition Program is at 7:00 PM this Thursday night in Bundy Auditorium. We will be announcing State and County scholarships. Students receiving awards have been notified. Please join us for an incredible evening of #TrojanPride!
