The NC Fire Department is currently addressing a situation in the Career Center wing of the High School. Smoke is coming from a dust collector. All student and staff are safe and we are using this as an unexpected Fire Drill.

On 3/5/2026, New Castle Middle School will be hosting a mental health awareness program where students will participate in the "Get Schooled Tour."
Information about the "Get Schooled Tour" can be found at GetSchooledTour.com, including a video summarizing the program's purpose and intent.
During the Get Schooled Tour, students will participate in an anonymous polling. No identifying information pertaining to the students' name, address, phone number, or email address is included in the polling.

This is just a reminder that school is not in session tomorrow, February 16th due to the observation of Presidents' Day. School will resume on Tuesday the 17th of February. Have a nice evening!
Next week begins a significant week for NCMS 8th graders as students will begin scheduling for freshman classes. 8th grade parents are encouraged to visit one of the scheduling meetings for 26-27 9th graders.
NCHS staff will will be presenting on topics that include freshman scheduling,, Ivy Tech Dual Credit incentives ( such as FREE college courses!), Career Center/Vocational Programming, and the new Trojan Enterprises.
Meetings will be held at the following times and locations.
Tuesday 2/17 @ 10:30am in the NCMS Community Room
Tuesday 2/17 @ 6:00pm in the NCMS Cafeteria
Students will also visit NCHS classes on Thursday(2/19) to learn more about Trojan Enterprises and all the amazing opportunities NCHS can offer your family!

This is just a reminder that tomorrow, February 4th, students will be in buildings and "in person". We will save the Remote Learning Day originally planned for tomorrow on our next inclement weather day. We appreciate your flexibility and support. Go Trojans!!!
Current 5th grade parents are encouraged to visit our future 6th grade parent night this Wednesday, 2/4 at 6:00pm in Bundy Auditorium. NCMS staff are visiting 5th Grade classrooms this week to provide scheduling information for 26-27. Scheduling sheets are due back to 5th grade teachers 2/11.
It is great to see our students back in schools today!!! Having just spent the last four days learning virtually, we will be in person next Wednesday, the 4th. This is a change from our calendar. If we have another snow day, we will then use the remote learning day at that time.

What, Alice? Rescheduled? The show must go on! "The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland" will be performed NEXT Friday and Saturday, February 6th and 7th, at 7:00 PM. Bundy Auditorium Doors open at 6:30 PM. Cash only at the door: $10 for Adults, and $5 for Students. Both of our Alices hope to see you there!
