NCHS theater students present their spring play, "The Curious Savage."
It's the story of an elderly widow named Mrs. Savage, whose husband has left her ten million dollars. She intends to give the entire fortune away to people who wish to pursue their “foolish dreams,” while her stepchildren strongly object.
To prevent Savage from doing away with their family’s wealth and ruining their legacy, the family commits their stepmother to a sanatorium. There among the gentle residents, she finds her true family. "The Curious Savage” is a warm comedy that encourages us to kindness, loyalty, and a little foolishness now and then.
Join us on the weekends of May 3rd, 4th, 5th and 10th, 11th, 12th for an incredible show.

Sorry, Ode. Our bus drivers only allow human riders.
Happy Bus Driver Appreciation Day, New Castle! We are grateful for all our dedicated drivers. Give a SHOUT OUT to your favorite driver!

Miss Laws' History classes visited the Indiana State Museum today in Indianapolis.
Indiana history came to life!

Mrs. Terhaar's English classes read "To Kill A Mocking Bird," and had open, yet deep discussions over issues within the book. Movement broke up the friction as they choose their stance. The students did very well defending their positions, and a few took turns being "devil's advocate." Nice job, Mrs. Terhaar, for making us think.

Our Seniors wind down the year finishing their highly anticipated "Senior Exit Interviews." We're so proud of each one of them, leaving NCHS prepared to succeed. (Stay tuned for an article on our website!)

NCCSC Graduation Pathways are designed toward personal interest, giving students individual opportunities for experiential learning, career exploration, and skill development in the field that brings them joy and satisfaction. The Indiana Department of Education created a GPS, a three-part navigation checklist of graduation requirements for each student to fulfill. It is our desire when students move from the New Castle Community School Corporation into adulthood, they will be Graduates Prepared to Succeed!
