Our Life Skills Graduation brought joyful tears, as parents and teachers gathered to celebrate Emma Muegge and Lukas Witty. These families build the closest connection with our teachers, and they will continue to develop lifetime relationships. We're so grateful for Pam Sutherland, Lydia Head, and Wendi Howell for their dedication and daily care to our beloved students.

Ed Hidalgo from Educator’s Cooperative visited the Sunnyside Education Center this week. Ed worked with ECESC staff to explore RIASEC (personality types) themes, and help them develop student coaching. Junior, Anyah Amman, and Sophomore, Lauren Gillman, participated in Hidalgo's mock career coaching interview.

It's summer, but 8th Grader and Rising Freshman Jade Chaplain job shadowed at Great Clips yesterday. Jade is considering joining the Cosmetology program at New Castle Career Center! Under the direction of Manager Ashley Steele, Jade welcomed customers and swept floors. We're so proud of her efforts towards pathway decisions. Great job, Miss Chaplain! #Employability Skills


REMINDER: Senior Recognitions Night is tomorrow, MAY 30th, at 7:00 in Bundy Auditorium. Scholarships, honorariums, curricular and extracurricular awards will be awarded, and recognition for National Honor Society and Technical Honor Society will be given. Seniors have been notified if they are receiving an award. Come give praise where praise is due!

Congratulations to Kim Nicholson! The 1985 Trojan graduate just accepted a newly created position as the NCHS Director of Student Affairs! She will be replacing Alex Griffin (we wish him well and thank him for his awesome service here). Kim will be similar to an assistant principal, second in command, and will focus on our curriculum/programming, grant initiatives, special education, teacher evaluations, and more. Mr. Amman, Mr. Grace, and Mrs. Nicholson are currently looking for a fourth team-member, a second Dean, to complete our High School Administration Team!

Our Seniors took to the Student Section one last time on Neal Field on Wednesday. The Class of 2024 graduates Sunday, June 2nd, at 2:00 PM in the Fieldhouse.

Congratulations to our Music Department! They have been awarded the All-Music Award from the Indiana State School Music Association! NCHS is one of 19 schools in Indiana and NCMS is one of 7 schools to earn the honor of "Total Department "designation! #TROJANPRIDE



Congratulations to Jasper Wright for winning the "Herbert Heller Essay Contest!" Every year juniors are offered the opportunity to write an essay over any U.S. History topic of their choice. Jasper chose to write about what happened on American soil, the Homefront, during World War II. The essays were judged ,and Jasper won a $300 check to use on whatever he chooses! #TrojanPride


Have you seen a transformation? Not only have these freshmen beautified our school grounds, but they have developed some impressive life skills. Mr. Nichols' Leadership Academy also shared the importance of attendance, academics and maturity at the Middle School. #TrojanPride
