We hope you all have a wonderful and safe spring break and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, April 7th.
Please note that we will have a second community meeting to discuss our membership status in our athletic conference (Hoosier Heritage Conference). This meeting will again be at 5:30 p m just prior to the 6:30 Board Meeting on April 14th. Both meetings will occur at the Sunnyside Education Center (formerly Sunnyside Elementary). At the School Board Meeting, the East Central Education Service Center Executive Director, Pat Haney, will provide a brief presentation about the educational support services provided through the ECESC. We are proud to partner with the ECESC as they support not only New Castle but 38 other school corporations in the region. Again, enjoy your spring break!

Senior, Jayden Sticco, Junior, Cori Seeley, and Sophomore, Lyla Shue competed Wednesday at the Optimist Oratorical competition. The topic was "How Optimism Has Guided Me Through Trying Times." These three moved on & will compete in the next round. Congratulations and good luck!

We are so honored to have received the Large Business Award at the NCHC Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala! Judy Hubbard won Citizen of the Year, and Zoe Williams, CC Veterinary Science Teacher, won the Young Professional Award. We are so proud of all of the nominees. #TrojanPride







It's Spirit Week, and the Trojans have not disappointed! Monday was St. Pat's and Pajama Day, and Tuesday was VSCO Girl and Sk8er Boi Day! Tomorrow is Twin Day! #GoTrojans!





Reese Callaway got 9th at Gymnastics State this past weekend, a huge accomplishment for a freshman! She earned the 5th highest score on the Floor Routine. Congratulations, Reese; we can't wait to see what your future holds! #GoTrojans

Today was a Professional Development day for teachers while students worked virtually. Multiple teachers and staff won the "Renaissance Spotlight of the Month" for helping us achieve the "Early College High School" endorsement. Of course we celebrated with donuts!

JAG classes finished their project: The Great Red Paper-Clip Trade-Up! Our Freshmen dominated this year's contest. Balian won first place with 8 trades, ending with a 1984 Transformers toy worth $279.00! Lanna did sixteen trades, and ended with a giant Peeps stuffie, a large bag of Pop'd Skittles, and $5. Ava traded 9 times for a pink-haired Troll. Great job, JAG!



Congratulations to our Career Center's 2025 National Technical Honor Society inductees. NCHS and our county school students were awarded before their parents and the CC student body in both AM and PM classes.

Mr. Bode's class is measuring their weight in Newtons, to find out WHO is the MOST POWERFUL STUDENT.







We have several people up for awards at the 2025 Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala later this month! Our very own, Judy Hubbard, is a finalist for "Citizen of the Year!" Abraham Haler and Zoe Williams are finalists for "Young Professional of the Year," and John Thompson is a finalist for the "Frontline Hero of the Year." To top it off, NCCSC and the Career Center have both been nominated for Large Business of the Year.




The New Castle Community School Board will meet in a public Special Session at 5:30 pm on Monday, March 10th in the New Castle Community School Board Room. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss topics related to participation in our Athletic Conference. Athletic Director, Cory Bennett will share trending demographic information and will gather input from the Board and public. All are welcome to attend.
The Class of 2027 took over the Trojan Report Announcements today while the Seniors job shadowed and the Juniors took the SAT. Go Sophomores!
