Achievement day 2025

The tradition of Achievement Day at New Castle High School dates back to the fall of 1961. The program is intended to celebrate the academic achievements of our students and to inspire scholastic success among the student body for the school year. The keynote speaker is always a New Castle graduate who has achieved notable success.

Many important guests and members of the community are in attendance, including New Castle alumni. The ceremonial lighting of the Spirit Bowl, presented by the Walter P. Chrysler Memorial High School Class of 1962, is another time-honored tradition associated with this program.

Academic achievement rings and honor crests are presented to those seniors who have maintained at least a 4.0 average for six semesters. Honor crests are awarded to those seniors who have attained at least a 3.6667 average for six semesters. A framed certificate of honor is awarded to those juniors who have attained at least a 3.6667 average for four semesters.
