Lapp and Bode with IU Indy Project.
Academics is our favorite boast! Congratulations to Aubrey Lapp for completing her six-week summer internship with IU Indy! Under the direction of Professors Decca and Petrache, Aubrey and twelve fellow interns were given the task to create a device that would detect muon elementary particles, a neutrino-sensing device. Wow!

Lapp recollects her experience saying, “My biggest takeaway?  I’ve found that research is  surprisingly pretty cool!  Making a scientific discovery is what will now drive me!”

Aubrey has fallen in love with the physical sciences (astronomy, physics, chemistry and Earth), and is a star-student of Mr. Bode. She plans on attending a four-year college, and can’t wait to experience campus life.

“I would highly recommend doing high school internships. I got paid for being creative, made future connections, and was guided by some of IU’s most brilliant minds!”
