Yesterday our EMT class had an incredible opportunity to step outside their comfort zone and into a new form of communication! Students spent time learning American Sign Language (ASL) from Mrs. Glover and her class, gaining valuable skills to better serve members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Experiences like this remind us that being an EMT is about more than medical care — it’s about connection, compassion, and communication with everyone. Way to go, future first responders!
