Eastwood is excited to start our next attendance incentive starting March 4th. Those students who meet their incentive will be invited to a movie, doughnuts for weekly class winners, and gift cards for families! Our last attendance incentive celebrated more than 180 students who met the goal! We will continue to value and work on our attendance.
Eastwood teachers have had great discussions this year on the Marzano Framework. We have been focusing on two T’s for most of the year: Student Target and Student Tasks. We want students to understand the target of the lesson so they know what they are supposed to learn and digest for the day. The next step is looking for student evidence so that the teacher knows that students are ready to begin their tasks either in groups or individually. Lastly, teachers check their tasks to make sure it aligns with the target of the day and students can complete the tasks. This has been a great learning opportunity for our staff to go beyond the standards and curriculum.
