Senior Morley Blessinger

While getting to be a part of the New Castle Exploration Career Internship Program, I have met new people, learned new employability skills, and have gained new experiences.  Through my internship position as a Student Ambassador with Patrick Burris and Karlee Bennett, I have joined Mr. Burris in building relationships with new businesses, sat in on multiple meetings, and helped grow our internship program with new opportunities. Through this, I've made connections with new people that can help further my future career. I have been able to go to ERA, 321-Go! Kids, and CJ’s Candies to meet with the heads of all of their businesses. I have also learned amazing employability skills like communication, time management, and how to expand my growth mindset. Being in this internship has also given me opportunities to practice good communication skills with my peers, as I have conducted interviews with them for our social media pages. I've had to be focused to learn each individual's post high school plans, goals and aspirations. This internship has helped prepare me for a career after college, as communication will be a huge factor in any career I may come across, and it can help me stand out from other competitors for a position! Overall, through this internship, I have been able to experience new opportunities that will be able to benefit my future.
