Since January 2024, all high school students have been given the opportunity to appropriate their TCT (Trojan Connect Time) time on Tuesdays to enroll in this course! During the Hands Only CPR & Stop The Bleed courses, students will be able to utilize video, mannequins, AED trainers, certified instruction, and a STB training kit to learn and practice their skills. Anyone can learn Hands Only CPR and it’s a valuable skill that can make a difference in an emergency and save a life!
The Stop the Bleed program has been a valuable addition to our school system. We now have over 350+ Stop the Bleed kits strategically placed in our classrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, health clinics, offices, by our AEDs, in sports areas, and in our outlying buildings. This program is set in place to educate and empower our staff/students to act quickly in the event of a severe or life threatening bleeding emergency to also save a limb or life.
