Please call the Henry County Health Department at (765)521-7059, Extension #3, to schedule your appointment today or let your health assistant/Corporation RN know if your student needs an appointment. We will help you schedule one at school or the health department.
- All preteens should get one Tdap shot when they are 11 or 12 years old to help protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough. Contact your child’s doctor if they haven’t gotten this vaccine yet.
- Meningococcal vaccine protects against a type of bacteria that can cause serious illnesses. The two most common types of illnesses are meningitis and bloodstream infections. All children ages 11 through 12 years should receive a meningococcal vaccine followed by a booster dose at age 16 years.
