This field trip is the product of a summer project through Indiana University's REU/RET program.  I, Kathy Daniels, am grateful to Dr. Emilia Martins and the NSF for their educational support and funding.

Pre-Visit Materials to introduce the concepts of Convergence, Divergence & Adaptation

These are activities that can be done before visiting IU Bloomington's Jordan Hall.  Each activity is designed to introduce the concepts of convergent evolution, divergent evolution and evolutionary adaptations.

On-site Activities for the Jordan Hall Field Trip

These are activities that are designed for use while visiting IU Bloomington's Jordan Hall.  Each activity is designed to demonstrate the concepts of convergent evolution, divergent evolution and evolutionary adaptations. These activities may to be duplicated for each student participating in the evolution field trip by the teacher or leader of the group prior to coming to campus.

Besides the information below, teachers should call or e-mail the Jordan Greenhouse before visiting to be sure there are no conflicts with other groups who may be using the greenhouse.
