New Castle Community Schools

The New Castle Community School Corporation's school library-media centers shall house balanced collections of print and non-print, multi-media materials; equipment; and supplies adequate in quality and quantity to meet the needs of students and staff.

The corporation believes in a k-12 progression of skills in the use of print and technological resources. The advent of library networks and resource-sharing plans dictate the need for consistent and thorough technological skills. Therefore, the library-media centers shall be the hub from which local, regional and national print and technological resources can be accessed.

The corporation believes the school library-media centers should promote life-long learning.
